Lottery 7 - Responsible Gaming
Lottery 7 responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.
Play within your limits
Responsible play at Lottery 7 begins before you purchase a single ticket. Set a fixed weekly or monthly entertainment budget, for example, ₹200 to ₹500 per month, and treat that amount as the full cost of the fun, not a potential investment. Separate lottery funds from essential expenses such as rent, grocery bills, school fees, and SIP investments so that a losing streak never touches your household finances.
Never chase losses. Each Lottery 7 draw is an independent random event; a run of bad luck carries no statistical debt that the next ticket will repay. If you find yourself buying extra tickets to "get back" what you spent, pause immediately and step away for at least 24 hours. Tracking your spending inside your UPI app, PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM all offer monthly spend summaries under the "Passbook" or "Insights" tab, takes less than a minute and makes overspending visible before it becomes a habit.
Warning signs of problem gambling
Problem gambling rarely announces itself. Watch for these early indicators: spending more than your set budget three or more months in a row; feeling anxious or irritable on days you cannot play; hiding UPI transaction history or deleting payment notifications before family members see them; and borrowing money, from friends, family, or a personal loan app, specifically to buy tickets.
Emotional signals matter just as much as financial ones. Constantly thinking about the next draw, using lottery play to escape stress or loneliness, or feeling deep guilt after a session yet returning within hours are all signs that play has shifted from entertainment to compulsion. If three or more of these patterns sound familiar, the tools and contacts below can help you regain control before the situation worsens.
Deposit, loss and time limits
Lottery 7 provides three practical spending controls in your account dashboard. A deposit limit caps how much you can add to your wallet in a given day, week, or month, for example, setting ₹300 per week makes it impossible to exceed that amount regardless of how many tickets you want to buy. A loss limit automatically halts further purchases once your net losses hit the figure you choose. A time limit sends you a notification and can lock ticket purchasing after you have played for a set number of minutes per session.
To activate any limit, go to My Account → Responsible Gaming → Spending Controls, enter your chosen value, and confirm. Limits take effect immediately. Requests to increase a limit are subject to a mandatory 48-hour cooling-off period, giving you time to reconsider, in contrast to removing a limit on an unregulated platform, which often takes effect instantly. Reviewing these figures every three months alongside your PhonePe or GPay spend summary is a simple, effective routine.
Self-exclusion and cool-off
If you need a stronger break, Lottery 7 offers two options. A cool-off period lets you suspend your account for 1, 7, or 30 days, useful when you feel your habits shifting but are not ready for a longer pause. A self-exclusion locks your account for a minimum of six months; during this period you cannot purchase tickets, receive promotional emails, or reactivate the account early under any circumstances.
To apply either option, navigate to My Account → Responsible Gaming → Take a Break, select the duration, and confirm with your registered mobile OTP. Lottery 7 will also unsubscribe your number from all marketing communications for the duration. If you believe you need indefinite exclusion, contact our support team at [email protected] to request a permanent closure.
